Buoyant markets help govt exceed FY21 disinvestment target, faces daunting task in FY22

Disinvestment receipts were Rs 32,835 crore for fiscal 2021 against the revised target of Rs 32,000 crore. The earlier target was Rs 2.1 lakh crore, which was scaled down due to pandemic. The government faces a stiff target of Rs 1.75 lakh crore in FY22.
